Position description: The Modular Supercomputing and Quantum Computing (MSQC) Group at Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany is looking for a Postdoc (full-time) in the area of the design and use of quantum computers/algorithms in practical applications. Of particular interest are the design, porting, benchmarking and practical use of quantum algorithms, with a focus on those that use quantum computers/quantum annealers together with HPC systems in a hybrid way. The selected candidate will participate in the development of a software environment for interfacing quantum computing modules to modular HPC systems for use as accelerator technology in hybrid fashion, and for genuine hybrid QC-HPC algorithms.
The selected candidate will work in close collaboration with the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) in Germany! The MSQC group is led by Prof. Thomas Lippert, who is also the Director of the JSC.
