After Russia's invasion of Ukraine started, more than two million Ukrainians have fled to other countries. Many Belarusians and Russians are leaving their countries too. Position description: We have openings for several four-year PhD positions to start anytime in 2022. The successful candidates will work in Mathematics (in the area of Applied, Combinatorial, and Computational algebraic geometry) or Theoretical Computer Science at KU Leuven in Belgium. A master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Computer Science is required.
